Kevin Hummings

Kevin Hummings had luscious hair, cheekbones and broad shoulders proportioned to the rest of his god like body. His eyes were green and bright, once you stared into them you were transformed into another world.

The latest film which he acted in ‘Assignment 101’ had raving reviews: ‘What a film!’, ‘Kevin looks incredible in this movie’, ‘What another blockbuster!’
Screaming fans ‘KEVIN KEVIN’ they shouted outside the cinema, all crowded, huddled together like penguins, collapsing on top of each other to get a photograph.
He was like a King to his subjects: tall, grand, rich and admired by everyone. His latest movie had made over $20 million dollars in the first couple of weeks.
‘How do you do it Kevin?’
‘Every film you make reaching number one?’
‘Hard work and dedication’
He was admired and loved by millions.
‘Kevin are you dating anyone?’
‘Will you marry me?’
‘I love you Kevin’.
His previous girlfriends were never famous, he was known for dating ‘normal women’, which made him more popular as his Twitter account where he was followed by twelve million viewers: Kevin@Kevin Hummings.

Kevin opened the door of his Los Angeles home. The splendour of the mansion was magical: chandler, a tall staircase slithering and turning towards the top floor, while the red carpet lay awaiting like a rose fresh on the floor for his footprints. But he never made any.

He walked upstairs, the winding staircase to his bedroom door which he shut quickly and quietly. The mirror was tall, grand, glistening like jewels sparking. But with no reflection of his body as he stood in front of it.
He pulled the bookcase next to it, the particular book his favourite Jekyll and Hyde as he thought it had a touch of irony.

The bookcase groaned as it opened to the cellar, as he walked down. The
servants knew not to disturb Mr Hummings once he was at home. He was in his
creative space they thought, getting prepared for his next role. But Kevin was down in his cellar, admiring the bones from the various girls he had dated.
Their rotten smell was like perfume to his nostrils as he had pierced their throats with his teeth, and had crushed their bodies with his bare hands like a cracker.
He stood in awe of their bodies that gave him immortality, he would not shrink or dishevel away like other men. He would be youthful and to admire for his beauty,
talent and wealth. No none would guess that was his true identity, this world was
superficiality. It was about money, fame, talent. Not the true depth of a person.

So he knew that it might be possible, of course, that far from being one, we may
possess two selves. That his Vampire true self could exist in this world and survive on the blood of women who trusted this persona of the actor: Kevin Hummings.

Letters of the Past

The letters in his hand were crisp, clean, and pure white and had the age of youth while Sebastian's hands were wrinkled, old and worn out. He smelt the perfume of the letters which were like flowers in the room showing down onto him. He rocked slowly as he held them and whispered 'Lillian' while Beatrice didn't budge and had gone to sleep purring away in his lap.  As the light glistened in the fireplace the colours were reflecting onto the walls of the living room like colours of the rainbow as he thought of Lillian and the past. It was at university where he had met her first, he was himself lost in the corridors, with his shirt half tucked into his trousers, tie askew and hair rough and looking at the board trying to find his class. He heard her voice, 'excuse me' and turned towards her. It was her golden hair that struck him. It shone in the corridor like a gem and it was long. She looked as though she were a mermaid emerging from the sea. He could feel...

You are so loved

https://www.creativewritingink.co.uk/resources/writing-prompts/ It came like a thief without warning, There were no signs. It stole my life away, parts of me gone: hair, nails and feeling fatigue. It came like a tornado out of the blue, There were no signs. It changed my life, job, career, money and friends were lost. The word was cancer, it spread fear, anxiety and depression. The paper was there, what could I write now? The expression You are so loved came like the light out of dark, The people who mattered stayed, my family, husband and some friends. It was my strength and hope for the future that You are so loved. I had come from out of the pain into new beginnings.

Christmas Wish

Frost was glistening like jewels shining as though it was worth a million pounds. The wind was whistling like a naughty child intermittently. Figures of people hustled around to gather Christmas presents last minute. Their faces were full joy like sunshine because of the air of Christmas was approaching. Kids unable to sleep, counting the hours and pacing within houses. Chestnuts were roasting on the open fires, turkeys defrosting and stockings being laid out in anticipation for Santa’s arrival.      Christina was inside near the warmth of the fire which glowed red and arose like a phoenix from the ashes as it burned warming her up. She was eagerly waiting for Peter’s call. The phone rang like the jingle of bells and her heart started to beat faster. “Hello I miss you” he expressed. “So do I. Been waiting for your call all day, are you going to come back for Christmas Day?” she asked. “I hope so... Works been crazy”. He soun...
